Farm description

Sprouting Acres is an organic Community Supported Agrigulture (CSA) farm located in Cambridge, Wisconsin, twenty miles southeast of Madison. We are locally owned, family run, and practice sustainable organic farming methods. We are certified by Midwest Organic Services Incorporation (MOSA).

The farm was created in 2004 to provide fresh, local produce. Millions of gallons of fuel are used everyday to bring in produce that is already grown right here in our own community. We also wanted to provide food raised without the use of chemicals or pesticides. Since its inception, Sprouting Acres has practiced organic methods making our fields exceptionally clean and healthy.

At Sprouting Acres, we value our relationship with the community and provide outstanding produce to our members, local restaurants and farmers market customers. Each season, we look forward to hosting our "day at the farm" party. This event provides our members the opportunity to get to know the farm, the farmers and their families. We provide a tour, delicious farm-grown snacks, and a chance to help with the harvest! Take home extra veggies too.

Sprouting Acres is also a work-share farm which means that many people choose to exchange their work on the farm for a box of veggetables each week. We are lucky to have such excellent workshares to help make the farm beautiful and bountiful.
